Skills4Wheels – Terms & Conditions (Summary)

These terms apply to all driving lessons and services provided by Skills4Wheels. Full T&Cs are signed by each student upon registration.

1. Licence & Legal Requirements

All students must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence for category B vehicles before starting lessons.

2. Instructor Conduct

Our instructors are DBS-checked and follow a strict professional code:

  • Polite, punctual, and ethical
  • Dual-controlled, insured vehicles
  • Clean and smoke-free learning environment

3. Insurance

All lesson fees include cover for learners driving our school vehicles with a qualified instructor or DVSA examiner present.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Minimum 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a standard lesson.
  • 14 days’ notice for intensive or semi-intensive courses.
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged at the full lesson rate.
  • Prepaid lessons must be used within 90 days.
  • Refunds are handled by your individual instructor, as all Skills4Wheels instructors are self-employed.

5. Lesson Safety

Lessons may be cancelled at the instructor’s discretion if a student is unfit to drive due to alcohol, drugs, or fatigue. The lesson fee will still apply.

6. Punctuality

  • Students should arrive on time. Instructors will wait up to 15 minutes.
  • Delays by the instructor due to traffic or unforeseen events will be made up later.

7. Payments

We accept card payments online and cash by prior arrangement. Block bookings must be paid in full before starting. Discounts only apply when payment is received as agreed.

8. The Driving Test

  • A mock test must be passed before using the school car for the practical test.
  • Instructors reserve the right to withhold the vehicle if the student is not test-ready.
  • Skills4Wheels is not liable for DVSA test cancellations or technical issues on the day.

9. Personal Items

Please do not leave valuables in the tuition vehicle. We are not responsible for lost property.

10. Phones & Distractions

Students should silence or switch off mobile phones during lessons to avoid distractions.
