The more you drive, the more confident and capable you’ll feel. Private practice alongside lessons can make a big difference, as long as your accompanying driver is over 21, has held a full UK licence for three years, and is properly insured.

The theory test covers road signs, rules of the road, and hazard perception—so it’s more than just common sense. Make use of DVSA apps and mock tests to get familiar with the format, and don’t leave revision until the last minute.
